Course Enrollment Help...

How does Online Enrollment Work?

Online enrollment allows us to keep track of how many people are interested in taking a particular course and who has paid for the course. Because of the benefits that online enrollment provides to our staff, you are required to enroll online for all courses.

At the completion of your online enrollment you will be shown a confirmation page which includes what course you signed up for, when you signed up for it, and a confirmation number. You are strongly encouraged to print this as proof of your enrollment! You will also receive a copy of this confirmation via e-mail but DO NOT count on the e-mail, print the page when told to do so. Your confirmation number and the printed page are your only proof that you signed up for the course in the event of a dispute. If you do not have a copy of your printed enrollment confirmation, we will not make accomodations to get you into the course.

Due to the fact that we are a University club and have limited methods of collecting money for our services, you will not be able to pay for your course online. Payment is limited to cash or check (made payable to "Nittany Divers") and must be handed to a club officer or mailed to our mailbox at:

Nittany Divers
ATTN: Vice President
c/o Club Sports Program
White Building
University Park, PA 16802
Please Note: Just because you enroll online for a course you are NOT considered officially in the course until your payment is received!

To reiterate, you are NOT considered officially in the course until your payment is received.

When you receive your online enrollment confirmation e-mail there will be a link for you to check the status of your enrollment. By using this link, you can see when we have received and recorded your payment thus making you an official student in the course.

What is the Waiting List? How Does It Work?

In order to insure that we fill our classes to the maximum and provide training to as many people as possible we normally take a few names (typically no more than four) up and above what the maximum number of students are for a course.

If you are on the waiting list, you should plan to attend the the first course session and be prepared to pay for the course at that time if a spot opens up. In the event that someone does not show up for the course or is unable to take the course we will take the first person on the waiting list who is in attendance and is prepared to pay the course fee.

What is the Notification List? How Does It Work?

We want to provide training to as many people as possible but sometimes the demand for a course exceeds our maximum course size. Unfortunately in these cases we cannot offer training to everyone. The notification list provides a way for you to be automatically notified when another course like this one is offered again. Our web site checks the upcoming course list every day and when it sees a new course added, it cross-references that course with the people on the notification list who are interested in that type of course. The people on the notification list then receive an e-mail with information about the course and a link to all of the course's information and how to enroll.

This is probably the fastest and easiest way to be notified when a new course is offered.
