After an assessment by Campus Recreation and Risk Management, the decision was made to transition the Nittany Divers to a special interest club focused on maintaining a community for students interested in scuba diving.

Activities around the practice of scuba diving are now handled by Outdoor Adventures (formerly Adventure Recreation). This includes:

  • Rental and maintainance of scuba equipment
  • Scuba courses
  • Scuba diving trips

Effective: 1 January 2011

After an assessment by the University's Risk Management office and the Club Sports program, several changes have been made to the way Nittany Divers functions as a club. Below is a quick summary of those changes.

The following activities are now handled by the Adventure Recreation program:

  • Rental and maintainance of scuba equipment
  • Scuba courses

Dive trips are still organized by Nittany Divers but are run in cooperation with the Adventure Recreation program.
