Getting Involved...
Nittany Divers is an active and fun scuba club that
offers various programs and activities throughout
the year so you can get involved. This is a club
and that means that you will get out of it what you
put into it. The only limits this club has are the
ones placed on it by its members.
Ways to get involved
-
Attend a meeting and/or join the listserv
and find out what's going on.
-
Come to a social event and meet people. Nothing beats
eating a lobster on Homecoming weekend at the annual
Lobster Tailgate.
-
Become an officer. The club elects a president,
vice-president, treasurer, and secretary every spring
semester. Why not run and take a commanding lead of
YOUR scuba club. It looks great on the resume and
officers get free gear rentals while in office.
-
Join the Training Assistant program and learn how to
help with our Scuba Diver course while meeting other
divers and would-be divers.
-
Take a course and
improve your education and skills while meeting new
club members and having fun. We offer a wide variety
our courses to our members at competitive prices.
-
Help maintain our equipment. We always need people to
fill tanks, take inventory, and do basic repairs to
our vast inventory of rental gear. You can gain
valuable knowledge about the equipment that keeps you
alive at the same time.
Joining the Club
Becoming a member of the club is a very simple four step
process as outlined below:
-
Download, fill out, print, and sign the club's
membership form (PDF).
-
Download, fill out, print, and sign the
Club Sports Waiver (PDF).
-
Make a copy of your health insurance card.
You MUST have health insurance to be a member of the club. This
is a University requirement.
-
Bring these two forms and the photocopy along with your membership dues payment to
a club meeting or gear rental appointment.
Dues are $10 per semester (Spring, Summer, Fall) or $25 per year.
Cash or check ONLY.
It's YOUR Club... You will get out of it, what you put into it.
